Hey,
Can’t find a way to delete previous reviews so just updating.
All the below remains true and after weeks of back and forth I was able to receive the refund I was told in email I would receive.
I was also told if I submitted a fraud claim (when they weren’t going to refund) that they would charge me the fraud fee. So I felt threatened and like they would take money from me no matter what. They also asked for my bank account information for a refund which felt like a violation of privacy so we agreed of PayPal which charged me a fee to get the money back in my account.
Overall to spend weeks arguing via email to get a refund for a product that arrived broken not once but twice and failed to work on the vacation I needed was overwhelming. I was promised a refund and what I went through to get it was too much. They also told me I needed to delete my reviews which was my intention to update with success but even with the payment back it caused so much stress it’s hard to say if fighting for my own money was worth it.
Sad this happened- sucks for everyone. Please just wash your clothes in the sink and save yourself the anxiety of dealing with customer service.
So bought 1- was defective they sent a replacement and it was also defective fell apart on my trip. They sent an email I have in writing that they were going to offer a refund for the item and cover the cost of shipping. I sent receipt and everything back and now they only want to cover 25% of the shipping and are leaving me completely out the money even though I have it in writing! FRAUD IM REPORTING FRAUD TO MY CREDIT CARD DO NOT BUT FROM THEM THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM SENDING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AND NOT ISSUING REFUNDS FOR DAMAGED GOODS! I have videos of all the defects and kept an email chain don’t get taken advantage of like I did.
Hi Paige, while we welcome all reviews (positive or negative), these should be factually based and true. You contacted us in relation to the Scrubba bag you received and informed us that it was leaking from the seal. You weren’t able to provide a video or photo showing exactly what the defect was and you declined our offer to troubleshoot what the problem could be. As you had a trip coming up we sent you a replacement bag along with a repair patch for the original bag in case the issue was found and could be patched up. You contacted us on your trip and let us know that the replacement Scrubba bag exploded and leaked everywhere. You told us you wanted a refund rather than a replacement. Based on the video provided we are unsure whether there is an issue with the seal or whether the bag was overfilled and/or not rolled down tightly enough. From the video we also couldn’t see any damage caused to the bag by it exploding. Given your request for a refund, we didn’t probe further into the issues with the bag, but we offered a full refund (which has been processed) and we offered to reimburse you for the return shipping from Canada to Australia so that we can inspect the bag. Before you shipped the bag, we indicated by email that this should be around CAD16 for the return of both bags. This rate was determined from the Canada Post website. You shipped one of the bags back (having donated the first defective bag to someone else – hopefully after using the repair patch we provided) and sent us a receipt for CAD52.96. The amount you claimed back for shipping is well above the amount we indicated and well above the value of a defective Scrubba wash bag, which is the reason we questioned the shipping fee. While the shipping fee claimed was unreasonable we have now offered to reimburse you the full amount and we have offered a payment method that will not incur any fees. As you have informed us that you have lodged fraud charges with you bank against us (which we consider are baseless given the refund and multiple concessions we have made) we have set out that we will deduct any chargeback fees from the amount we reimburse you for the CAD52.96 shipping. We consider this fair and reasonable under the circumstances.
In relation to your public claims that we are committing fraud and running a scam, we contend that these are unfounded and defamatory.
We are blessed to have a strong base of Scrubba wash bag users and we pride ourselves on providing quality products and offering great customer service. We find that our base is receptive to working with to solve any issues that may arise. It is our regret that this hasn’t occurred in the present case.
If all you're worried about is your clothes getting a little smelly from sweat, then this is perfect for you. If you have a stain of any kind, including simple dirt on your clothes, this scrubba will not help. Also, my clothes always end up with some soap residue on them after I wash them with this. It'll do, I guess.
We have been traveling and enduring renovation to our house for the spring and summer and have been using our Scrubba to keep in clean shirts, underwear, and socks. It has given us clean clothes daily with the help of warm sun and breezes. We liked it so much that we gave one to our daughter; she's just started grad school in new digs and is still figuring out her laundry, and she loves hers too. The device is just what the company claims it to be.
Perfect for a few items. Use for camping and traveling. I highly recommend using a quick dry towel for help with wringing out your clean wet clothes. Otherwise they will take forever to dry.
