I have the old squeeze valve version, I bought in December 2016. I purchased it at a discount because the new turn valve version was being released. The squeeze valve on my old version is starting to stick and getting hard to open the valve after 3 years of use, about 4 times a year for travel. So I had been looking for a good price on an updated version when I saw this one on indiegogo being offered cheaper. Since I purchased this through indiegogo at a discount I decided to purchase the kit. I am loving the updated twist valve which allows for quicker and easier deflating and the extra strip at the top of the bag to give more structure when folding down. Same great functionality. Even though at $55 it's a little pricey but it has more than made up for the cost. Having the ability to wash clothes when traveling in foreign countries and travel with just a carry on suitcase so I don't have to worry about lost luggage while flying, makes the cost worth it. I have even recommended it to friends and coworkers. The only thing is although I recommend the wash bag at $55 I'd save the extra $44 and not buy the kit. I'd get the same style clothes line elsewhere for about $6 and a microfiber towel for around $8, to go with the wash bag.
I've read what others have said about just buying a dry bag and using a spiky ball for agitation, but I don't recommend it. The balls move around or get hung in one specific piece of clothing, where it doesn't help with agitation to the entire load. The scrubba has a stationary wash board, allowing all of your clothes to benefit from a good scrubbing. It even worked on my muddy work uniform.
I also have to give thanks to the scrubba team. My first order was lost in shipment and they sent me a replacement. It took about 2 months to receive my order (1 month per shipment) coming from china and having to be inspected by Customs. Luckily I didn't have any trips planned so I was okay with the delay.
