It does work pretty well. I suppose the scrubby nubs help, but it's hard to tell. Rinsing is great because I could use the bag as a rinse tub.One thing I learned: don't overfill with either stuff or water. I did and got a "blowout", i.e., the foldover top blew open with the pressure and made a mess all over the bathroom counter! I'm giving it four stars because the price is awfully high.
Impressive piece of hardware, clothes smelt and felt clean, allowed me to travel light knowing i could wash clothes on the move
Excellent product - I could even wash my jeans in it! Would recommend as a fantastic alternative for all travellers who wash their clothes in the sink. A vast improvement on the sink.
I was an extra in a movie yesterday wearing a white blouse that got spotted with mud. Because it’s a travel blouse and one I intend to use while backpacking in Europe, this seemed like the perfect test for the mini Scrubba that I just got. Two things I learned: spot cleaning will save time later AND you must use a towel to roll and dry. (See YouTube for the technique.)
Although my lack of spot cleaning before meant I had to do spot cleaning after, I’m completely impressed. My blouse no longer looks dirty (literally muddy) and is currently hanging to dry. I wasn’t worried because the reviews are so good, but it’s nice to see for myself.
I got enthusiastic and then washed the socks I had worn. I wouldn’t recommend washing a single pair of socks in future. The bag is just too empty with a single item and I spent more time chasing them around the Scrubba than actually scrubbing them, but whatever. Today was a no risk test to see what happens.
I got the small Scrubba because I lifted the large version in a local hiking shop and felt like I would rather do a tiny load of laundry every day or two and save the weight. If I were staying in one place, the larger one would make sense, but since I’m changing locations every two or three days, I’d prefer less weight than more. I’m a seriously minimal traveller who cuts soap down to size for travel and this size fits my needs.
I’m curious about the inflatable hangers and may invest in those in future. If we want to look presentable without constantly looking for overpriced laundry, this is a good solution!
